Genuine Symbolism
This is a wonderful tarot deck packed with genuine and authentic symbolism. The author has produced a deck which isn’t afraid to use symbols like the inverted pentagram. The inverted pentagram is a symbol of the womb and also of balance. There was one reviewer who wrote in saying she did not approve of the use of the inverted pentagram on a queen card. If she were to see that this inverted pentagram is directly over the womb of the goddess depicted in this card she should understand the sacred symbolism here. We as a people need to get over this irrational fear of symbols just because a particular group uses it for their own reasons. i find many people are afraid of the inverted pentagram because the church of satan uses it. Let me ask you then, If the church of satan started using the upright pentagram would everyone suddenly stop using it aswell. This is not a wiccan deck, it is however a true and good deck for any seeker of rich witch’s (not wiccans) symbols and goddess images.
Self Reflection
I have had this deck for many years now and have not found any better cards to date. They just tell it how it is, simply, without fuss, and without blame. If you don’t want to see your reflection, then don’t look in the mirror! They articulate human nature exquisitely. Mine come everywhere with me. I used them professionally for a few years very sucessfully. I wouldn’t be without them. They are the best friend you could ever have. If you want to develop your better nature/spiritual side, then buy some today. I am not so sure about the enclosed booklet, but I found the book - The Secrets of the Tarot, a valuable backup. I still see new insights into them even now, and I am sure that I will for years to come.
killer deck
A psychic recommended this deck to me in 2003 to use to predict the financial markets as she said the markets have been high-jacked by the government and charts no longer worked. Although a strongly feminine deck this has been the BEST deck I have used in 30 years - for me. I’m a guy and I have a strong feminine side anyway - Pluto conjunct my natal Moon astrologically - so the energy actually works real well for me.The book that goes with it is great also although my copy has ended up in the library of a former friend and I can’t get it back.
Our falling out was quite related to the deck. My former friend, a psychologist, loved Walker’s symbolism of the cards and the accompanying mythology in the book. While staying over at her place in Venice Beach for a few daze I casually asked if she wanted me to give her a reading. She shuffled and cut and I drew the cards. Since she was a `7′, born on the 16th of the month, I drew a 7 card fan, the 3 left cards representing the past, center - the present, and the three right the future.
EVERY card was a disaster, Death, Tower, swords this and that……….I was embarrassed as I frequently touted the deck to my friend. Certain all was fluey that day and I quickly put the cards away.
Sure enough, her life had one unexpected disaster after another, including [but not limited to, as the lawyers like to say]
. the LAPD shot and killed someone on the sidewalk outside her home one night
. my friend began a `regimen’ of anti-anxiety medication - which IMO substantially increased her anxiety
. Her landlord took her to court to get her out of the rent-controlled apartment she had be in for 12 years. Multiple court battles followed.
. My friend, the go-to ‘addictionologist’ at a $45,000/month rehab in Malibu began to blow it at work and got fired - but not before finding her own job advertised on the LA Craigslist!!!!!!! two weeks before.
. My friend ended up in the ER as she threw out her jaw yelling at a Black Eyed Peas concert. She walked out with a script for morphine.
. Since my friend is a supposedly recovering heroin addict I accused her of having a slip, taking mood altering and pain killing drugs indiscriminately and hiding it all. My friend took GREAT exception so we no longer speak. Actually, I called up her AA sponsor and ratted her out.Soooooooooooooooooooooo, if you draw bad cards her with this killer deck - LISTEN UP
