Great combo
I disagree with the previous reviewer about the alarm - I find it very easy to set the time and the off-on for the alarm.I am particularly impressed with the sound quality for such a small unit.
The Sansa e-series is a gem as well. They’ve been replaced by a newer version and are getting hard to find, so I’d grab this combo unless you already have one (as I do). It’s actually less than you’d pay for the items separately, from what I’ve seen.
Be careful with what music you put on the Sansa, though. I broke one combo with, I believe, a few mp3 downloads from Amazon that were supposed to be non-protected. The player and/or the radio appears to have mistaken them for expired songs from the Rhapsody service, and nothing I did could un-convince them. The clock radio functioned alone, the Sansa functioned alone, but they would *not* play together anymore.
So I bought a second combo because, having gotten used to the things, I found I could not live without them.
Another point about the Sansa: This model is expandable with micro SD cards. You might want to check with the vendor as to whether the Sansa is a v1 or a v2, as the v2 can use *much* larger SD cards than the v1.
