Love our Mino!
We got our Flip MinoHD Camcorder to take on our upcoming trip to Disney World. This thing is awesome! We can slip it into a pocket so there are no camera bags to worry about losing and it is SO user friendly! It’s easy to record, easy to delete clips you don’t want anymore, and easy to upload. I love that there are no cords required to plug it into the computer! We also played back some of the video on our TV and the quality was amazing! I highly recommend the Flip Mino! We look forward to using it to capture all our favorite memories.

Awesome little device
I had debated whether or not to buy one of these until one evening I watched some very old home movies with the kids and realized that we hardly ever recorded anything anymore.

We have a “normal” camcorder but end up not using it very much - it’s just too much work to drag it out, get it turned on, find a tape, and get it started it (and it seems like the battery is always low).

With the Flip, however, it’s about as quick to get up and running as a digital camera - just grab it and turn it on. Now we capture moments on video all the time.

The video quality is actually quite good. At first I thought the 1 hour limit on storage would be a problem, but then I realized I pretty much never need to record that much continuous time anyway.

As a gadget reviewer and someone who provides daily tips for Flip Video owners on Twitter via @flip_video_tips , I have to say I love my Flip. I bought the original Flip and it was a good camera. I didn’t like having to replace the batteries all the time. However the new Mino HD has internal batteries and charges via USB port so this issue is resolved. I even grabbed a cable her at Amazon to charge my Flip while in my Hummer. As an Internet Marketer with 9 YouTube channelsl, 4 blogs, and 14 websites each needing weekly updating content, the Flip answers the call in a really big way. I use mine every day. It’s always in my pocket wherever I go. Pick up a Flip Mino HD for quality and conveinence. Did I mention it’s also very cool? : D

I have three more elaborate camcorders. However, I use the Mino

more than any of the others due to its portability,ease of use and its

capability under low light conditions. Also, it is compatible with Macs.

Awesome Video Quality
This mini video camera is easy to operate and compact. I was very impressed by the quality of sound and sharpness of the picture. You can create still shots and make great movies. It allows you to put in your own background music and titles. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to using it more. I love the sharing and easy upload features. It is an awesome little piece of equipment. I am hopeful that an underwater case will be offered soon. That would be cool. I am off to video more of my kids having fun.

Can’t Put It Down
I haven’t been able to put the Mino HD down; appreciate all of the reviews but perplexed by some of the comments. First, the video quality is just outstanding, better than I had expected. I have sent the clips directly using the email feature and uploaded to YouTube - the quality does seem to diminish if uploaded to YouTube, but still incredible given the fact that this is a mini camcorder. I have a Mac and one of the concerns I had was about software compatibility - no problem. I should have take the time to read the very short instructions - but wasn’t really necessary since everything was very intuitive. I was hoping the zoom feature would have been a bit better, but again, this is a mini camcorder so my expectations were realistic. This is a great, in your pocket, device — although addictive! This is my first Flip so I cannot offer any opinion/comments as to how it compares to previous models but I would recommend this one. I’ve been having a blast and for the first time have been able to participate on YouTube - although I think my family is getting their fill of my clips!!

The perfect video camera for online posting
This is my second Flip video. I upgraded to the HD version so that I can use the videos both for posting online (the original reason for purchasing) and for business presentations using a high-quality projector.

This is the perfect value. The video quality is fine for online and presentation purposes. But the important part of the value proposition is the ease of use. What makes this perfect for anyone is how easy it is to edit videos and post them online.

The camera was so easy to use that I think it took me less than 3 minutes to have it up and running and taking video.

For what it is, it gets 5 stars, however, I do want to say that after a full day of exploring the camera there are a few things to consider…

First, the viewing screen is very small, as you’ll see in the video review below. This isn’t a big deal, and again for the type of product, you go in knowing there will be limitations of some sort. In terms of taking video, that’s about the only limitation I’ve found so far because the camera is just that easy to use. From one touch recording to fast playback and delete functions, you really can’t get much simpler.

After you’ve taken the video, getting it onto your computer is also a snap. Flip out the USB plug and shove it into your computer’s USB port. Make sure it’s a 2.0 port. The software automatically starts and runs and it allows you to save the original video file to your computer in mp4 format, save it in wmv movie format (with rudimentary title/credit slides and optional music track), and a few other basic functions like image stills. There isn’t a lot of fluff, and you really don’t need fluff for this.

If you want to use the native file format you’re going to need a video program like Pinnacle or Ulead that can read mp4, or a conversion program (you can use the one that’s included to convert to wmv if you want). Windows Movie Maker will not read native mp4, so to use that tool you’ll want to convert first.

The camera records in 1280×720 at 30fps. This isn’t 1080i/p but you’re really not going to notice that much of a difference - though I do wish it recorded at 60fps just for a cleaner and smoother video (just a personal preference - not a downside to the camera).

For the price, the size, the ease of use, and the ease of getting video off the camera, this is a crazy cool gadget that I’ll be using very frequently for some great video!

Just as good as everyone says
I love my Flip! It’s exactly what I thought it would be. I read some reviews that said it didn’t do too great in low light and that’s pretty fair. I don’t think it’s as shaky as some people would describe it. It keeps a good charge and using it couldn’t be simpler. If you plan on recording a lot, make sure you have the hard drive space to store all of the raw video. Every 60 minutes is 4gb which adds up quick!

I recommend this camera to all my friends and family! Go get one!
