Guess How Much I Love You By Sam Mcbratney
Why Buy A Guess How Much I Love You By Sam Mcbratney?Little Nutbrown Hare wants very much to impress Big Nutbrown Hare with the enormous scale of his devotion, but ends up being the one whos impressed. Subtitled a pop-up edition, this sturdy square edition of Sam McBratneys ever-popular Guess How Much I Love You is probably better described as a slide-along edition. Some pages do include pop-ups, but they arent the best ones; instead, most involve pull-tabs which animate the two rabbits and their surroundings. One of the most appealing scenes simply shows Little Nutbrown Hare hopping up and down. In a purely technical sense this exercise in interactive cardboard technology is well behind some of the competition, but the tale has a timeless charm and the very simplicity of the movements makes it easy for small fingers to waggle the tabs and take control of the story. Customer Reviews & Opinions
Love this
This sweet little book is a wonderful way to tell a loved one how much u love and treasure them. One Christmas I got this one for my daughter when she was 24. She allowed her misty eyed mother to read it to her. I loved it.
epic children book
When I was a little boy, my mother read it often to me and at the end of it, I would fall asleep.
while growing up, i often still thought about it.
I just ordered it to write an essay about it (I’m a senior in highschool)
nice children’s book about the love between a parent and a child
A Tender Portrayal of Fatherly Love
A bedtime conversation between father and son, which echoes God’s eternal love for His children. As Big Nutbrown Hare prepares Little Nutbrown Hare for bed, Little Nutbrown Hare initiates a contest of one-upmanship, in which each comes up with similes to express their love for the other. Little Nutbrown Hare falls asleep believing he has won with “I love you as far as the moon!” but Big Nutbrown Hare gently cradles him and lays him down, whispering, “I love you as far as the moon… and back.”This is a tender, beautiful conversation, illustrated in lively, pleasing pictures with plenty of movement and interest. Because the dialogue is often abstract, the 0-3 crowd may not understand or follow it, so I recommendthe paperback or hardback version rather than the board book.
